LORI LOVES...POM POM VESTS!!!
Who doesn't love pom poms????? I mean they are so fluffy and soft and actually can act as a great stress reliever. (Try squeezing one and you'll agree). I recently discovered this awesome book called Be Dazzling by Rachel Burke and OMG I have truly found someone who loves all things glittery, pom-pom-y and fabulously fun just as much as I do!!! She makes AMAZING tinsel jackets, bedazzled sunglasses and shoes and pretty much makes everyday items SPARKLE! So I wanted to try out making a version of a pom pom jacket that she makes in this book.
So after a trip to my local craft store, I came home with a crazy amount of yarn, (IN EVERY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW OF COURSE!) ready to get my pom pom making on!!
I have a set of Clover Pom Pom makers but I needed to make a pretty big pom pom and a whole bunch them! These cardboard templates (make 2 same size) did the trick. Hours of Netflix watching later, I had about 70 pom poms made and ready to be glued onto a jacket that I found at Goodwill.
Sleeves were cut off (honestly just because I ran out of pom poms ha ha) and I just kept hot gluing until I covered as much as I could.
AND IT'S FINISHED!!
HOW MUCH RAINBOW GOODNESS IS THIS???
** I originally was going to trim all of the pom poms so they'd be perfect spheres but I like the shaggy look! What do you think?**
(These last 2 images are part of a new stop-motion video coming soon!! Keep your eyes open for it here on my blog and my social media!!!))
